About Adam Pearson
Adam Pearson is an award-winning disability rights campaigner, actor, presenter, and speaker, renowned for his contributions to both media and activism. In 2016, he was nominated for UK Documentary Presenter of the Year at the Grierson Awards, recognizing his impactful work in raising awareness about disability issues.
Adam has presented several critically acclaimed documentaries, including Horizon: My Amazing Twin (BBC Two), Adam Pearson: Freak Show (BBC Three), The Ugly Face of Disability Hate Crime (BBC Three), and Eugenics: Science’s Greatest Scandal (BBC Four). In addition to his documentary work, he has appeared as a reporter on Tricks of the Restaurant Trade (Channel 4) and The One Show (BBC One). Adam has also featured in popular television shows such as The Weakest Link, Celebrity Masterchef, Celebrity Mastermind, Pointless Celebrities, and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
Before becoming a presenter, Adam worked as a researcher for the BBC and Channel 4 and was involved in the development of the groundbreaking series Beauty & The Beast: The Ugly Face of Prejudice. He also consulted on the Dutch version of the show and worked on casting for The Undateables.
As an actor, Adam appeared in the BAFTA-nominated film Under the Skin, alongside Scarlett Johansson, and starred in Chained for Life, receiving praise from The New York Times for his “great charm.” His latest project, A Different Man, co-starring Sebastian Stan, is set to release in 2024.
Adam is an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust, Changing Faces, and Us In A Bus, and has been recognized with awards such as the RADAR and Diana Awards. He was named in The Shaw Trust’s Disability Power 100 List of 2020
