Cassandra Stavrou is the visionary behind PROPER Snacks, the brand responsible for PROPERCORN and PROPERCHIPS. Since its inception in 2011, she transformed PROPER Snacks into Europe’s largest independent healthier snacking company. Her innovative leadership has positioned her on the UK Government’s Food & Drink Sector Council, and in 2020, she was honored with an MBE for her significant contributions to the food industry.

Widely acknowledged as a pioneer in the UK’s healthy snacking movement, Cassandra has expanded PROPER’s reach to over 20 countries, with products available in all major retailers. PROPER Snacks was among the first to understand the importance of community and culture, cultivating a devoted and ‘cult-like’ following. This approach not only set the brand apart but also made it the first-ever B Corp certified snacks company, emphasizing its commitment to social and environmental performance.

Recently, Cassandra orchestrated the sale of PROPER Snacks as part of a significant merger, resulting in the formation of WARP Snacks, now one of Europe’s largest healthy snacking companies with sales exceeding £100 million. This complex transaction was completed amidst the challenges of Brexit, the COVID-19 pandemic, and during her pregnancy, showcasing her remarkable resilience and strategic acumen. Cassandra continues to play an active role in WARP Snacks, both operationally and as a board member.
