Lawrence Chaney

Lawrence Chaney, a celebrated Scottish drag queen, rose to fame as the winner of the acclaimed RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 2. Known for a bold personality and quick wit, Lawrence’s victory on Drag Race catapulted her into the international spotlight, earning her a devoted fan base. In 2021, she achieved a remarkable milestone by winning a Scottish BAFTA, making her one of the few drag artists to receive this honor and solidifying her status as a trailblazer within the drag and entertainment communities.

Following her Drag Race win, Lawrence embarked on a whirlwind of opportunities that took her across the globe. She joined major international tours, bringing her unique charisma to audiences worldwide and further expanding her reach. She’s also been featured on a range of television shows, including The Weakest Link, Celebrity Lingo, God Shave The Queens, and I Like to Watch UK. In addition, Lawrence debuted her sold-out one-woman show, Overweight & Over It, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where she delighted audiences with her signature humor and heartfelt storytelling.

Beyond performing, Lawrence has ventured into writing with her debut memoir, Drag Queen of Scots, sharing insights into her journey, personal struggles, and triumphs.
