About Phil Spencer

Phil Spencer is best known as the co-presenter of Channel 4’s property show Location, Location, Location, alongside Kirstie Allsopp. His passion for property began after working for an estate agent in Canterbury, which inspired him to pursue a degree in General Practice Surveying at London’s Southbank University. After earning his degree, Phil founded Garrington Home Finders in 1996, one of the first companies to focus on representing property buyers.
The innovative business model proved successful, leading Garrington to expand to four offices with a staff of 30 and an annual turnover of £3.5 million. Though Phil left the business in 2008, Garrington continues to thrive today, now operating from offices in Cambridge.

Phil’s natural talent for understanding the needs of house hunters and his expertise in property caught the attention of a Scottish production company. Initially approached for his property advice, Phil was later invited to do a screen test for a new show concept. After he and Kirstie Allsopp did a joint screen test, their chemistry was undeniable, and Location, Location, Location was born.

Phil has since hosted several other property-related TV programs, including Relocation, Relocation, Phil Spencer: Secret Agent, and Secret Agent Down Under. His unbiased property insights are sought after by various publications and media outlets. He writes regularly for The Sunday Times and has contributed to magazines like Home Buyer and Night & Day. Phil’s extensive experience and personable nature make him a popular choice for corporate videos, speaking engagements, and awards hosting.
