Kirsty has presented the BBC’s flagship nightly current affairs show Newsnight for 25 years. Kirsty has also hosted the ground-breaking Late Show, Election specials and live stadium events. Kirsty presented The Review Show for over a decade. She has conducted long form interviews with everyone from Margaret Thatcher, Madonna, Harold Pinter to Pete Doherty, Damian Hirst to George Clooney and the likes of Toni Morrison, Donna Tartt and Philip Roth. She fronted the critically acclaimed BBC2 documentary Blurred Lines: The New Battle of the Sexes and her documentary The Insider’s Guide To Menopause which aired on BBC Scotland. She also reached the final in Celebrity Masterchef and hosted A Question of Taste for BBC2. Kirsty has made cameo appearances in a range of television dramas, radio programmes and films including Dr Who, Absolutely Fabulous, The IT Crowd and Spooks. Kirsty has won several major awards for her work including BAFTA Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Broadcasting, Journalist of the Year and Best Television Presenter. Born in Dumfries and educated in Kilmarnock, she is married to Alan Clements and has two children. Her debut novel, The Legacy of Elizabeth Pringle, was published in 2014. Her second novel, The House by the Loch, was published in 2019. Kirsty’s extensive corporate portfolio ranges from facilitating conferences, after-dinner speaking, and hosting award ceremonies, to presenting in-house videos and voiceovers for clients
