The Jay Rayner Sextet

The Jay Rayner Sextet has played most of the major jazz festivals in the UK, has a monthly residency at the legendary Pizza Express Jazz Club on Dean Street and has played everywhere from Ronnie Scott’s to Snape Maltings to Manchester’s Albert’s Hall.

Jay Rayner’s ensemble of top flight musicians, which can come as either a sextet or a quartet depending on the event, can offer everything from a soothing repertoire of the Great American Songbook for background at cocktail parties, all the way up to full-on performances of their re-imaginings of 80s chart hits with jazz in their bones; shows which spotlight Jay’s talent as a wit and raconteur, as he tells stories from his life in food and journalism.
