Sara studied Medicine at King’s College London, where she also achieved a BSc in Physiology and has a diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health.
She has a keen interest in sexual health, and lifestyle medicine as well as surgical specialties, such as ENT and Orthopaedics, which she puts into general practice by having a weekly minor surgery clinic. She also practices cosmetic medicine and likes to keep up to date in the world of aesthetics.
Sara is a passionate advocate of maintaining good mental health and regularly practices Mindfulness and yoga. She has a keen interest in preventative medicine through lifestyle choices like exercise and nutrition and regularly writes advice columns on how we can look after our health. Sara enjoys extreme sports such as scuba diving, skiing and travelling as far as her air-miles will allow. Her love for travel and extreme environments came together when she took part in Channel 4’s Bear Grylls Celebrity Island, marooned on a dessert island for 4 weeks, learning to thrive and survive with fellow celebrities.
Sara is a natural communicator. She has an ability to simplify the barrage of conflicting messages we hear about our health into clear take home messages. She recognises that it can be difficult to know what a healthy lifestyle looks like, especially when the temptation to compare oneself to others is greater than ever. Sara’s goal is to share her extensive and specialist knowledge enabling audiences to transform their health. She bridges the gap between medicine and research, which can feel very inaccessible, and the public by debunking medical myths and educating about the everyday things from coughs and colds to bumps and bruises. With enthusiasm and an infectious warmth, Sara’s talks approach medicine in an engaging and positive way and she educates and inspires her audiences to lead healthier and happier lives.
