About Anna Haugh

Anna Haugh is the chef-patron at Myrtle Restaurant in Chelsea, London, which she founded in 2019. Beginning her culinary journey nearly 20 years ago at Dublin’s Cathal Brugha Street, Anna completed her apprenticeship at Dublin’s renowned L’Ecrivain before working with celebrated chef Gualtiero Marchesi in Paris. When she moved to London, she trained under Shane Osborn at Philip Howard and later served as food director and head chef at Rocket Food. She also held the position of head chef at London House under Gordon Ramsay.

Myrtle reflects Anna’s vision to bring refined Irish cuisine to London, centering her menu around premium Irish ingredients. Her aim has been to showcase the sophistication and unique flavors of Ireland to a wider audience through her restaurant.

Anna has also built a strong presence in broadcasting. She appeared on three series of Royal Recipes, regularly features as a chef on BBC’s Ready Steady Cook, Saturday Kitchen, and Sunday Brunch, and frequently cooks on Morning Live. Additionally, she has contributed to If These Meals Could Talk. In late 2022, Anna was appointed a judge on MasterChef: The Professionals, joining Marcus Wareing and Gregg Wallace.

Her culinary expertise and passion for Irish ingredients have made Anna a prominent figure in the restaurant and media worlds alike, where she continues to represent Irish cuisine with creativity and sophistication.
