About Christine Armstrong
Christine is an author and consultant with a focus on the evolving workplace, leadership, and organizational communication. She wrote The Mother of All Jobs: How to Have Children and a Career and Stay Sane(ish) and co-founded the communications firm Jericho Chambers. Today, she leads Armstrong & Partners, guiding businesses through today’s volatile environment.
Christine examines the workplace’s transformation over the past two decades, tackling issues like diversity and inclusion, productivity myths, flexible work, paternity leave, and the experiences of working parents. She also explores how companies can meet employees’ changing needs to attract and retain top talent, especially as hybrid work models grow in a post-pandemic world. She highlights the new challenges employers face, from office costs to the varying needs across age groups and personality types.
In The Mother of All Jobs, Christine delves into the struggles of working mothers, including childcare costs and competing demands between parenting and career. Using personal experiences, research, and stories from senior women, the book dismantles myths about motherhood and reveals cultural biases against mothers in corporate settings.
In addition to her work on the future of work and work-life integration, Christine writes and speaks on communication and the circular economy. A contributing editor at Management Today, her writing has appeared in The Sunday Times, The Times, The Telegraph, and Grazia, and she has featured on Radio 4’s Women’s Hour.
