About Dina Asher-Smith

Dina Asher-Smith, the fastest woman in British history, holds British records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay. With medals from European, World, and Olympic championships, Dina exemplifies what it takes to succeed at the highest level. Her drive, determination, and expertise make her a compelling speaker for organisations aiming to surpass their aspirations.

Dina’s speed was evident from a young age. She burst onto the scene by winning the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2011, followed by golds in the 200m and 4x100m relay at the European Youth Games in 2013. At just 17, she became the youngest female World Championship relay medallist, securing bronze in the 4x100m at the IAAF World Championships. In 2014, she won the IAAF World Junior 100m title.

2015 was another landmark year for Dina as she claimed silver in the 60m at the European Indoor Championships and broke British records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay. She also became the first British woman to run 100m in under 11 seconds. The following year, she won the European 200m title and secured an Olympic bronze in the 4x100m relay at the Rio Games.

Despite a significant setback in early 2017, when she broke her foot, Dina’s resilience shone through as she led Team GB to a 4x100m silver medal at the World Championships later that year. In 2018, she achieved triple gold at the European Championships, winning the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay, ending the season with two British records and world rankings in both the 100m and 200m.

In 2019, Dina became the 200m World Champion and won silver in the 100m and 4x100m relay, setting two more British records. At the 2020 Olympics, she claimed a bronze medal in the 4x100m relay. Beyond athletics, Dina was named in the 2020 Power List as one of the most influential people of African or African Caribbean heritage in the UK and graduated from King’s College London with a BA in History.

Dina Asher-Smith is an inspiring speaker who offers valuable insights into achieving at the highest level and bouncing back from adversity, making her a fantastic choice for any organisation seeking motivation and excellence.
