About Eliza Filby
Dr. Eliza Filby is a distinguished writer, speaker, and consultant, specializing in Generational Intelligence. She assists businesses and organizations in deciphering the evolving generational landscape within politics, society, and the workforce. Her expertise extends beyond Millennials and Gen Z, encompassing all generations to provide a holistic understanding of societal change. Whether guiding companies on talent acquisition, consumer engagement, or future-proofing strategies, Eliza helps organizations adapt to generational shifts effectively.
Her mission is to challenge common generational stereotypes by addressing critical questions: Why are over-50s leading the gig economy? Why do Millennials prioritize workplace perks over traditional benefits? How can Gen Z be both tech-savvy and tech-cautious?
Eliza has collaborated with a broad spectrum of clients, including VICE Media, Warner Brothers, the UK’s Ministry of Defence, the Royal Household, BNY Mellon in Canada, and Macquarie Bank in Australia. She has advised banks on the Great Wealth Transfer from Baby Boomers to Millennials, guided advertisers on connecting with both digital-native teens and older generations, and helped healthcare companies engage with Millennials balancing parenthood and caregiving. She has delivered talks at the EU Human Rights Forum, the Financial Times CEO Forum, and The Bookseller Conference.
In 2018, she provided expertise to the UK House of Lords on intergenerational fairness and co-authored a report on gender diversity in the workplace. With a PhD from Warwick, she has taught at King’s College London and Renmin University. Her insights appear in The Times, The Guardian, The Spectator, and The Financial Times.
