About Francis Boulle
In 2009, Boulle was approached by production company Monkey Kingdom, now part of NBC Universal, to develop a pilot for a London-based reality show similar to the US hit “The Hills.” This collaboration led to the creation of “Made in Chelsea,” which chronicles the social lives and business ventures of West London’s ambitious young professionals. The show became an international success and won a BAFTA award for Best Television Reality and Constructed Factual in 2013, with Boulle accepting the award on behalf of the cast and crew.
Raised in various countries due to his father’s mining interests, Boulle developed a love for adventure early on. An avid polo player, skateboarder, and surfer, he often seeks out remote locations for his pursuits. He was educated at The Oratory School in Berkshire, England, and later studied Philosophy and Economics at the University of Edinburgh. His passion for economics, geopolitics, and entrepreneurship has led to numerous speaking engagements, including addresses to the Oxford Guild Business Society and the Institute of Economic Affairs.
Boulle’s interest in politics inspired him to create sexymp.co.uk, a humorous website designed to familiarize the British electorate with their Members of Parliament by allowing users to vote on their attractiveness. The site became famously banned within the Houses of Parliament after it was revealed to be the most attempted-to-access banned site in 2014.
In 2012, Boulle published his first book, “Boulle’s Jewels: The Business of Life,” a best-selling, tongue-in-cheek essay on his experiences as a young entrepreneur.
