Helen Bauer

Helen Bauer is a rising star in comedy, known for her distinctive humor and candid, playful approach. She has appeared on BBC Radio 4, BBC Three, and Comedy Central Online, bringing laughter to audiences across the UK. Starting her comedy journey as part of the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve at the Edinburgh Festival in 2018, Helen made her official debut at the festival with an hour-long show that quickly became a fan favorite.

Originally from a small town, Helen moved to London after college, where she initially juggled retail jobs and comedy sketches. She later moved to Berlin, where she discovered stand-up and honed her comedic skills, performing in English for Berlin locals who were both confused and delighted by her quirky humor.

In London, Helen’s comedic talents blossomed, earning her a runner-up spot in the Max Turner Prize 2017 and finalist positions in competitions like So You Think You’re Funny and Funny Women. Her performances have since been featured in Stylist Magazine’s Edinburgh Shows to See and on popular programs like Live at the Apollo, Late Night Mash, and The Stand-Up Sketch Show. Her short film Small Doses was also released on BBC iPlayer to positive reviews.

Beyond stand-up, Helen co-hosts the popular podcast Trusty Hogs with comedian Catherine Bohart, where her wit and charm shine. An experienced stand-up and awards host, Helen continues to entertain audiences worldwide with her unique perspective and infectious energy.
