Nigel’s literary works include GreenFeast, published in two parts, Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter, as well as The Christmas Chronicles, the classic Appetite, the critically acclaimed two-volume Tender, and The Kitchen Diaries series, which includes A Year of Good Eating: The Kitchen Diaries III. His book Eat – The Little Book of Fast Food has won multiple awards, further cementing his status as a leading food writer.
His award-winning memoir, Toast: The Story of a Boy’s Hunger, has garnered six major awards and was adapted into a BBC film starring Helena Bonham Carter and Freddie Highmore. The stage adaptation by Henry Filloux-Bennett, directed by Jonnie Riordan, was performed at prestigious venues including The Lowry in Salford, the Traverse Theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe, and The Other Palace theatre in London before touring across the UK.
Nigel’s most recent book, A Cook’s Book, published by HarperCollins in October 2021, offers over 200 of his favourite recipes, encapsulating his life in the kitchen. His forthcoming book, A Thousand Feasts, set to be released in September 2024, promises to be a beautifully written collection of notes, memoirs, and stories, capturing small moments of joy from his culinary adventures around the world.
