Pip Stewart

Over the past decade, Pip has had the extraordinary opportunity to cycle halfway around the world, report on deforestation in Brazil and Peru, join the Royal Marines on an expedition in Norway, and achieve a world-first paddle through the Amazon Jungle. Each of these adventures has enriched her life and provided her with unique stories to share.

One particularly memorable adventure brought Pip face-to-face with a sandfly, resulting in a flesh-eating parasite taking up residence in her neck. Diagnosed with leishmaniasis, she faced the daunting prospect of aggressive chemotherapy to prevent further damage. This experience led her to campaign for greater awareness of neglected tropical diseases, using her story to highlight the importance of prevention and treatment.

Becoming a mother has added a new dimension to Pip’s adventures. She is now planning numerous family trips to demonstrate that parenthood doesn’t have to mean the end of exploration and adventure. Through these experiences, Pip hopes to inspire other families to embrace the joys of adventuring together. Additionally, she is working on her first children’s book, aiming to share the magic of storytelling and adventure with a younger audience.
