Parris gained significant attention with her incisive and hilarious segments on BBC2’s The Mash Report and as the host of Late Night Mash on Dave, which became viral sensations on social media. Her extensive television appearances include Live at the Apollo (BBC2), QI (BBC2), Would I Lie to You (BBC1), Mock the Week (BBC2), Hypothetical (Dave), The Big Narstie Show (C4), and Comedians Giving Lectures (Dave). She also hosted A Girl’s Guide to TV on BBC2.
Rachel is a founding member of the acclaimed improv show Austentatious, which has toured nationally, enjoyed sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, and held a weekly West End residency at the Fortune Theatre. Her solo shows, such as It’s Fun to Pretend and All Change Please, received critical acclaim and extended runs due to popular demand, culminating in sold-out performances at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre. Her upcoming show, Poise, is set to tour the UK in 2024.
In addition to her stage and television work, Rachel has a robust presence on radio, featuring on shows like The Now Show, News Quiz, Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, and Just a Minute. Her acting credits include appearances in There She Goes (BBC4), Plebs (ITV2), Revolting (BBC2), The IT Crowd (C4), Count Arthur Strong (BBC1), and Murder in Successville (BBC3). She also starred on stage in Death Ship 666 at the Jermyn Street Theatre.
Rachel’s first book, Advice from Strangers, was published by Hodder in 2022, further showcasing her diverse talents and broad appeal. She is also highly sought after for hosting corporate events, making her a versatile and influential figure in entertainment.
