Hailing from Oban, Scotland, Susie’s early prowess in motorsport saw her earn prestigious titles, including British Women Kart Racing Driver of the Year and Top Female Kart Driver in the World. Transitioning to Formula Renault UK Championship, she secured multiple podiums and garnered acclaim.
Susie’s career peaked in Formula 1, notably with Williams Racing, where she made history as the first woman in 22 years to participate in a Formula 1 race weekend at the 2014 British Grand Prix. Her contributions were recognized with an Honorary Fellowship at the University of Edinburgh for her advocacy for women in sport.
